Pender HS CTE students Isabel Soto (masonry) and Mckenlea Horrell (nurse aide) recently placed first in the NC HOSA SkillsUSA competition. This is the first time Pender High School has sent competitors to the SkillsUSA events #experiencetheexcellence
Coaches Jennifer Atkinson, Jennifer Buttery, Lisa Handline, Tara Wood have all successfully completed their facilitator training (with flying colors!) and are well prepared to support teachers as they implement Fundations in the schools #experiencetheexcellence

During Tuesday's BOE meeting, CTE Dir Dominique Bates took time to celebrate Bevin Stokes for her dedication to the CTE program at Pender HS. Ms. Stokes has been key in the pre-apprenticeship program which is helping students earn while they learn #experiencetheexcellence

Classes may be out but the learning continues. PCS staff and our SRO's are taking part in Drug Impairment Training for Education Professionals. It's the sort of training you hope is never used, but we want our staff to always be ready for the unexpected. #PCSPride
