We're kicking off Red Ribbon Week by proudly wearing our red! ❤️ #RedRibbonWeek
Today in ELA, Mrs. Horne and Mrs. Oberle introduced their new novel, Phantom Tollbooth. Students had the opportunity to try foods that were related to play on words such as “synonym rolls” (aka cinnamon rolls) and “I’m so grapeful for you” with grapes. The book will lead the 5th graders into their figurative language unit.

Mrs. Edwards' first grade class just finished their unit called A World of Books and chose to do a book report on their favorite book as their culminating project which included a pumpkin to look like the character. 🎃 Can you guess the storybook characters?

After Mrs. Gruber’s third graders read Starry Messenger and learned about Galileo Galilei, students worked together to choose eight key moments from his life. They practiced using linking words to connect each event and arranged themselves in order to create a human timeline. The room was filled with excitement as students collaborated, sequenced events, and proudly shared their timelines with classmates. It was a fun and memorable way to strengthen their understanding of how events and ideas connect!

Enjoying the sunshine and swings! ☀️
