In STEAM, 3rd graders have been engineering their own cauldrons and testing how many marbles they can hold. It is so fun to see all the creativity in the designs and hearing the discussions about how they could improve their build next time.🧉

We love Officer Kelley & Officer Wyke. Our school resource officers are more than just a safety presence; they are incredible mentors and positive role models who help create a secure and welcoming environment. They go above and beyond through acts of kindness every day. 👮❤︎

🌟 Final Day of Red Ribbon Week ! ❤️ Staff and students dressed as book characters because reading keeps up drug free! 📚
5th grade teachers found a creative way to teach idioms and figurative language! Students LOVED leading the Pun Parade this morning. The whole school lined the hallways to marvel at all the cleverness these 5th graders came up with. Can you figure out some of the idioms? Check out the parade video here 🔗 https://bit.ly/punparade

Due to a traffic accident in the area and heavy traffic volume on HWY 17, delays are possible involving bus pickup and arrival at school. We appreciate your patience.

🌟 Red Ribbon Week Day #4! ❤️ Staff and students wore mix matched outfits because we don't mix with drugs.

Ms. Zuravel brought a spider visitor to Ms. Polster's music class today. ❤️🕷️

Second grade is learning about timelines and how to use them in their study of the American West. Today Mrs. Forbis’ class recreated important images from the book, The Buffalo Are Back, to add to their giant timeline in the hallway. 🦬 🇺🇸

Ms. Pleasant's PreK class had fun with a spider web STEM challenge called, "How many spiders can your web hold?" 🕷🕸️

Mrs. Curry’s class shared their pumpkin projects today. They decorated a character from a story and completed story element graphic organizer to go along with it. Today they presented their graphic organizer and pumpkin with the class. 🎃📚

🌟 Red Ribbon Week Day #3! ❤️ Staff and students wore bright colors to show that our future is bright when we make great choices.
Ms. Meadows' PreK class is making the best of this rainy week with STEM team building activities like magnetic ghosts, blowing spider races & ghost structures. 👻🕷

In third grade science, students focus on recognizing the patterns of the Earth-moon-sun system, which includes explaining the phases of the moon. Mrs. Holmes makes it fun by getting their hands on....Oreos!🌑🌓🌕🌗🌑
Mrs. Allen's 2nd grade flex group is working on oral reading fluency by practicing a Halloween Reader’s Theater. They'll perform for their classmates later this week. 🎃📖🎭

🌟 Red Ribbon Week Day #2! ❤️ Staff and students wearing wacky socks to show that we're healthy from our heads down to our toes!
Dear SCE Kindergarten Families,
Unfortunately due to the threat of inclement weather we have made the decision to cancel our field trip to Mike’s Farm. Our hope is to try and reschedule for next week but we do not have that information at this time. Tomorrow will be a regular school day, students will need to bring their backpacks to school with them. I know our students will be so disappointed but our priority is that everyone has a safe and enjoyable day at the farm. We will hopefully have an update about the rescheduled date and will let parents know as soon as possible to plan accordingly. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.
