📢 North Carolina law now requires all public schools to show safety education videos to students in grades 6–12 within the first five days of the school year.

🛡️ As part of the Protecting Our Students Act (S.L. 2023-128), these age-appropriate videos help students recognize and report signs of abuse, neglect, or unsafe situations and emphasize that reporting is always confidential.

🎥 Pender County Schools is committed to complying with this mandate and making sure students know how to stay safe and seek help if needed. Look for information from your school in your email or sent home with your student once classes begin.

There will be a MANDATORY Athletics Meeting tomorrow – Monday, August 4th at 5:30 PM in the Penderlea School Gym.

MUST attend with a parent or guardian.
(There will be an additional meeting held in December for those athletes interested in Girls Basketball, Boys Soccer, Baseball, and/or Volleyball who do not attend Monday's meeting)

Making Friends is an Art. We finally got outside to make some art with our friends!

Sixth Grade is learning how anthropologists work as part of our introduction to prehistory. They saw how challenging the job is and how precise they have to be with their findings. Students charted each chip they removed on a graph and were only allowed to use a toothpick to remove the pieces.

First grade is practicing how to make new friends by starting with Hello. Since its so hot out we brought the sidewalk inside.
