Due to the forecasted winter weather, Pender County Schools will move to an early release schedule on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

3rd Grade students in Mrs. Giarrusso's class carried out investigations to answer the question, "How do forces affect the motion of ping pong ball?" 🌟 Celebrating Science and Innovation in Pender County Schools! 🌟
On Monday, January 13th, Cape Fear Elementary School hosted the Pender County Schools District Science Fair, bringing together our brightest young minds! 👩🔬🧑🔬 Sixty-one students competed after excelling at their school-level fairs, presenting impressive projects based on science experiments or engineering principles. We are so proud of their hard work and creativity! 🌱🚀

Please help our Penderlea Beta collect can tabs for our North Carolina Beta Service Project! All can tabs will be turned in at the NC Beta Convention next month to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Any saved tabs can be turned in to the front office. We will be collecting until January 31st! Thank you for helping us support this great cause!

Students will be able to shop with their Hornet Bucks in our new PBIS store starting the last 2 weeks of January.
If anyone is interested in donating candy, snacks, or drinks to the store they can be dropped off in the front office by January 17th.

🚨 Reminder: athletes must be academically eligible based on first semester grades, have been present for 85% of school days during the first semester, and have all forms completed on Big Teams (including an up to date sports physical on file) to be allowed to stay for tryouts on Monday! 🚨

Have a safe and happy Winter Break! ☃️ The school office will be closed from December 23rd to January 1st. We look forward to welcoming students back on January 6th. Remember to stay safe and warm during the holidays!
