This week in Mrs. Johnson’s class, we learned about “Who Works at Our School?” Students discovered the important jobs of CFE staff and how they help our school community. We also welcomed our special guest, Mrs. Brenna Hopkins, our Assistant Principal! Students interviewed her and learned all about her role. We had so much fun learning about the people who make our school special! ❤️
Third graders reading with a partner to work on their Oral Reading Fluency (ORF) skills! 📚📖
SCHOOL ALERT DRAFT
Early Dismissal Information for Cape Fear Elementary
Good afternoon Cape Fear Elementary families,
As a follow-up to the district's earlier message regarding the water line break on U.S. Highway 421 near Blueberry Road, Cape Fear Elementary will dismiss students early today, Tuesday, September 22.
Students will be dismissed at 12:20.
Please review the following important information regarding today's dismissal:
There will be NO afterschool activities including PACES and 21st Century. Car rider procedures will follow the same procedures as any given. We understand that parents may be later than 12:20 due to late notice but we will have plenty of staff support while students wait. Please understand that we will have no water and no restroom facilities available.
Pender County Schools is continuing to monitor the situation and remains in communication with Pender County Utilities.
At this time, the district plans to operate schools on a normal schedule tomorrow. District staff are preparing affected buildings to safely operate under the anticipated boil water advisory and will take the necessary precautions.
We will communicate any additional changes that may affect our school.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and cooperation.
