Join us tonight for Transition Night and stay for some fun-filled Bingo! It’s a great chance to connect, learn, and enjoy time together as a school community. We can’t wait to see you there!

Huge thank you to the Cape Fear Elementary PTO for treating us to a delicious lunch from Burrito Shak! We are so grateful for your continued support and for always making us feel appreciated. You truly make a difference in our school community!

As part of the 21st Century program, our 5th-grade students had a wonderful opportunity to visit the CFMS after-school program! They worked together in a fun, engaging activity to create rules and set goals for the upcoming school year—building teamwork, leadership, and a strong foundation for success. We are proud of their enthusiasm and collaboration!

Congratulations to our Cape Fear Elementary Ukulele Club! They had a wonderful performance at Spring Fest this Saturday! Ukulele Club will perform one more time prior to 5th grade graduation. Please return your practice ukulele to Mrs. Kurtz

Today we celebrate our incredible cafeteria team on School Lunch Hero Day!
Thank you for the early mornings, the warm smiles, and the care you put into every meal you serve. You do so much more than feed our students—you help fuel their learning and brighten their days.
We appreciate all that you do for our students and staff. You truly are our lunch heroes! ❤️

Happy National Principal’s Day, Ms. Smith!
Thank you for your leadership, dedication, and the countless ways you support our students, staff, and school community every single day. Your hard work does not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for all that you do to make our school such a special place.
We appreciate you today and always!

The 21st Century students created thank-you cards for their tutors to show appreciation for all the support they received throughout the school year. They read their cards aloud, making the moment even more meaningful. We also shared a variety of sweet and savory treats together. We are truly grateful for each and every one of them.

Full Circle Moment! Our very first kindergarten class at CFE is graduating this year! What a beautiful morning celebrating their accomplishments and reminiscing on where it all began. Receiving their kindergarten yearbook photos made it even more special—look how far they’ve come! Congratulations Class of 2026.

Ms. Hamilton’s butterflies are hatching! Nature in action right before our eyes!

Cape fear preschool and rising kindergarten kids from the community came to visit the kindergarten classrooms at Cape Fear Elementary. They all took flight on a trip to Europe where they learned about structures, history, art, royalty, and much more.

Shoutout to CFE’s Stride Team for their amazing work on their spring community service project! 🌹 They planted beautiful rose bushes generously donated by Tinga Nursery and truly helped brighten and beautify our campus. We’re so proud of their hard work and teamwork!

Students in the 21st century conducted tests on minerals using characteristic properties such as color, hardness, streak, and magnetism. They used magnifiers to examine pre-mineralized fossils and compared sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rocks. They also explored the rock cycle through a hands-on weathering activity and applied pressure to create a “candy rock” model.

Mrs. Johnson’s class is wrapping up the school year with our “Getting Ready for Kindergarten” study. We’ve transformed our dramatic play area into a mini
classroom, giving students a hands-on way to explore what’s ahead. Through continued kindergarten readiness activities and meaningful discussions, we’re supporting their social-emotional growth and helping ensure a smooth, confident transition into their next journey—kindergarten.
