The 21st Century students created thank-you cards for their tutors to show appreciation for all the support they received throughout the school year. They read their cards aloud, making the moment even more meaningful. We also shared a variety of sweet and savory treats together. We are truly grateful for each and every one of them.

Full Circle Moment! Our very first kindergarten class at CFE is graduating this year! What a beautiful morning celebrating their accomplishments and reminiscing on where it all began. Receiving their kindergarten yearbook photos made it even more special—look how far they’ve come! Congratulations Class of 2026.

Ms. Hamilton’s butterflies are hatching! Nature in action right before our eyes!

Cape fear preschool and rising kindergarten kids from the community came to visit the kindergarten classrooms at Cape Fear Elementary. They all took flight on a trip to Europe where they learned about structures, history, art, royalty, and much more.

Shoutout to CFE’s Stride Team for their amazing work on their spring community service project! 🌹 They planted beautiful rose bushes generously donated by Tinga Nursery and truly helped brighten and beautify our campus. We’re so proud of their hard work and teamwork!

Students in the 21st century conducted tests on minerals using characteristic properties such as color, hardness, streak, and magnetism. They used magnifiers to examine pre-mineralized fossils and compared sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous rocks. They also explored the rock cycle through a hands-on weathering activity and applied pressure to create a “candy rock” model.

Mrs. Johnson’s class is wrapping up the school year with our “Getting Ready for Kindergarten” study. We’ve transformed our dramatic play area into a mini
classroom, giving students a hands-on way to explore what’s ahead. Through continued kindergarten readiness activities and meaningful discussions, we’re supporting their social-emotional growth and helping ensure a smooth, confident transition into their next journey—kindergarten.
