❤this - Cape Fear Middle's Samara Wright was recognized as the first recipient of the Pender County Sheriff's Office "Challenge Coin Award". Sgt. Kittlaus presented the award to Samara for placing a priority on the wellbeing of others, helping to secure assistance for a person in need and helping to foster an atmosphere of caring by her everyday example. The "Challenge Coin Award" is presented to someone that demonstrates exceptional character, values and conduct while furthering the mission of the PCSO and demonstrating a true heart for service. Our PCS CTE Educator of the Month goes to Michele Simmons. She is well deserving of the award. She led the planning and implementation of our county wide middle school career fair. She constantly provides support for all of our 11 middle school CTE instructors. Congratulations!

What is Thanksgiving without a parade? Ms. Cantrell's kindergarteners at South Topsail Elementary learned about the history of the annual parade and the spectacular balloons on display. This morning the school was treated to a parade of the class' own balloon creations.
