🎉 Happy 67th Day of School! 🎉 We celebrated being 6–7 days smarter, and our halls were full of learning and laughter! Students hunted for hidden 6s and 7s around the building, staff battled it out in some hilarious 6–7 trivia, and prizes were popping up all day long. 🤩 It was such a fun way to celebrate all the growth and hard work our kids have put in so far this year. Here’s to the next 67! 💙📚✨

🌟 PBIS Update! 🌟

In November, our PBIS focus was Self-Control, and our students truly soared! Congratulations to our class winners with the most SOAR awards: Mrs. Gregory, Mrs. Eubanks, Mrs. Popolo, Mrs. Stewart, and Mrs. Luke! 🎉🍕 Each of these classes will enjoy a pizza party to celebrate their hard work and positive choices!

Looking ahead, our December PBIS focus is “Organized.” 📚✨ We’ll be on the lookout for classes showing strong organizational skills throughout the month. The classes with the most SOAR awards in December will earn a cozy hot cocoa and cookies celebration! ☕🍪

Let’s finish the year strong by staying organized and continuing to SOAR! 💙🦅

Check out second grade's special visitor! We learned how to make a real-life teepee/tipi, how to work with animal hide, how to make fire and animal traps. The children were able to see and touch artifacts. This experience was nicely aligned with our American West module in Wit and Wisdom and helps the children connect to the stories we're reading in class.

Ms. Valentine goes above and beyond each day to make sure every student starts their day with a smile and a great meal. 🍎✨ Her care for students goes far beyond the serving line, she takes time to connect, encourage, and help make each child’s day a little brighter.

Her positivity doesn’t stop there. Ms. Valentine’s cheerful attitude and endless support uplift everyone around her. Whether she’s lending a hand to a teammate or sharing a kind word, her smile sets the tone for a warm, welcoming cafeteria environment. 💛

Our second graders have been diving deep into their unit on The American West! They’ve made amazing connections between the Native Americans, settlers, the government, the prairie, and the buffalo — learning how each one impacted the others and shaped life on the frontier. 🦬🌻 We love seeing their curiosity grow as they make sense of how all these pieces fit together in our nation’s history! 💫
