
4th grade has spent several weeks researching, designing, writing scripts and coding spheres for a Battle of Moore's Creek project. Early in the preparation they were able to take a field trip to the National Park here in Pender County. Today one it the park rangers came to observe their projects. Here are a few highlights!

Ms.Miller's kinders did a "deep dive" on ocean animals. They enjoyed researching, writing about, and building models of their animal. Other TAES members got to check out their hard work this Friday. We'd say it went "swimmingly!" Check out the pictures to "sea" what they can do.





Exciting things spotted! Mrs. Bloodworth's kinders read their typed ladybug stories to grandparents today.


Kangaroos can jump 25ft! Can we?! Mrs. Ray's students had fun jumping while learning all about Kangaroos during their exploration of the Geodes text "Jack, Jill, and Joey."




Mrs. Bloodworth's kindergarten students "arrrgh" ready for 1st grade, but enjoying the last few weeks of school with some fun themed learning!


2nd grade was really excited to welcome Marine CSI: Coastal Science Investigation last week. The students learned how the salt marsh tidal creek food web is interwoven from animals of the marsh and how it can be altered by human interference, from overfishing to pollution.


Mrs. Wilson spent the evening at the Pender County Schools Awards Night celebrating this amazing TAES Teacher of the Year!!! Ms. Stacey Carlisle is one of the most talented art teachers ever! She is beyond deserving of this honor! Congrats Ms. Carlisle! Keep SOARing!
