33 students certified in the Everfi Venture Entreneurship modules. This module guides students through starting their own food truck business. This includes creating a balanced budget, making informed decisions, marketing, and case studies.

We had a wonderful visit with author Dusti Bowling yesterday! Group presentations, lunch with our Battle of the Books teams, book signings, and a workshop for our aspiring writers were all on the schedule for the day. Our students left inspired! Thanks so much to the NC Arts Council for making this event possible. Thanks also to our PTA moms who jump in to help anytime we need them. It was a great day!

We are excitedly getting ready for our author visit with Dusti Bowling on Tuesday! She will sign copies of her books, so don't forget to grab a book if you'd like it signed! Also, please remind your students to sign up on our google form if they would like to attend her presentation or the writer's workshop. Ethan Houston, a junior at Topsail High School, spent the day teaching our 6th grade science classes about space exploration- past, present, and future. He did a great job, and we're pretty sure we have some future astronauts in these photos.

Ms. Muffett’s 6th grade social study classes learned about papyrus in their ancient Egypt unit. Then they made their own! They put it to the test using it to complete their god/goddess project.
