The softball team had a thrilling comeback victory over Penderlea yesterday. After being down 7-3, they rallied and scored 10 runs in the 5th inning. Reagan Frost and Reagan Gilliland supplied the pitching, Avery Mulkusky and Gilliland led the way with 2 hits, while no doubt Reagan Ferris's loudness stirred the troops to victory! The last home game will be Monday. Come cheer on the Sharks!

The Sharks football team lit up the field last night with a thrilling 36–6 victory over Topsail Middle School! The stands were packed with cheering fans as Colby Roberts led the way with three touchdowns, while Robo De’Leon and Xander Scaldaferri each powered in for 1 touchdown of their own. The defense held strong, highlighted by a spectacular interception from Saul Botkin and some huge blocks that stopped TMS in their tracks. It was an unforgettable win for the Sharks! 🦈🏈
Students in Ms. Muffett’s class observe and make inferences from artifacts found in the trash (the collections were not collected from actual garage bins like gross banana peels and used diapers. They were carefully selected discarded items)

As part of National Arts in Education Week we are celebrating our talented 7th grade visual art students! 🦈✨ They are preparing for the 7th Grade Only Arts Showcase on October 29th.🍂
Seventh graders in Band, Theater Arts, and Visual Arts will come together to highlight all things Fall and Autumn. 🍁🎶🎭🎨

Corporal Kunselman prepares to do battle with Mr. Sandrik’s American History assessment.
For NC Arts in Education week, General Music has been learning about instrument families and the Hornbostel-Sachs classifications. Each student then selected an instrument and gave an in depth presentation to the class to work on public speaking skills. Great job to those who have already presented!
8th grade scientists in Mrs. Smith’s class put their problem-solving skills to the test by devising and carrying out plans to separate mixtures using filtration, magnetism, evaporation, and sifting!
