Ms. Beall has been with Pender County Schools for six years and was among the first social workers hired when the role was reintroduced to the county. She finds joy in supporting students and staff, who motivate her every day! ✨ “I love my job because the students and staff make me smile every day.” 🎉 Fun Facts: She graduated from ECU in 2018, recently started her master’s program at UNC, and is obsessed with making charcuterie boards! 🧀🥖 Join us in thanking Ms. Beall and all our amazing school social workers for their dedication! 💙👏

Alex enjoys exploring different media and styles, especially landscapes and beach-inspired themes. Her passion for expressing herself through art is evident in her creative work. ✨ A Few Fun Facts About Alex: ✅ Clubs: Participated in Survivor Club and Chorus, and currently part of the News Crew 🎤🎬 ✅ Sports: Plays volleyball and soccer and is working hard to improve her tumbling skills 🏐⚽🤸‍♀️ ✅ Favorite Artwork: “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” by Hokusai 🌊, which reminds her of the peaceful feeling she gets when visiting the beach ✅ Favorite Art Style: Loves painting sunsets and sunrises with a beachy theme and enjoys creating landscapes 🌅🏖️ ✅ Favorite Media: Watercolor – she appreciates how easily it blends and creates natural effects, making it her go-to medium 🎨🖌️ ✅ Favorite Artist: Vincent van Gogh – she admires how his paintings reflect his emotions and personality 🌌✨ 🎨 Why Alex Loves Art: “It’s an easy way of expressing myself and showing what I can do.” Alex’s passion, creativity, and determination make her an outstanding young artist. Ava Hill, an 8th grader with a passion for blending creativity and skill, is an artist whose dedication shines in and out of the classroom. Ava’s love for both realism and cartooning allows her to explore a wide range of styles, and her artistic interests continue to grow. Outside of school, she enjoys playing with her dog, attending youth group at church, working on her art projects, and spending time at the beach. 🎨 Emmalee’s favorite medium is chalk pastels, and while she doesn’t have a favorite artist, she admires Katsushika Hokusai (famous for The Great Wave) for his unique style. 🎼 A Talented Musician Too! In addition to her artistic achievements, Emmalee has played the clarinet in the SCM Band for the past 3 years, showcasing her dedication to both the visual and performing arts. 🌟 A Full Circle Moment: In 6th grade, Emmalee was selected as the Pender Spring Fest Artist for the 2023 T-shirt design.
