Mrs. Hill’s Science class is applying their knowledge of cell structures and the differences between plant and animals by creating an edible cell out of candy (the organelles ) and icing (the cytoplasm).

This fall, PAC generously lent our school display panels for our Annual Autumn Arts Showcase, and even allowed us to keep several for our Student Council elections. For the past two years, their support has helped us seamlessly “bookend” these two major events for our school community. We appreciate the support they give to our school all year long! 🎨💙🦈

The information gathered will help guide our school’s digital literacy supports, evaluate the effectiveness of current policies, and inform future state-level decisions about technology use in schools.
To move forward, we need every parent/guardian to complete the consent form—whether you choose to grant or deny consent. Your participation is essential.
🔗 Please complete the Consent Form now! https://unc.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_7O65QO7lLpejr70
You will receive a $5 gift card for completing the form.
Be sure to continue through each page until you see the message “Your response has been recorded.”
As an added incentive for our school community, Surf City Middle School will receive $1,000 if 70% or more of our forms are returned—regardless of parents’ consent choice.
