SCM wants to thank the Kiwanis Club of Topsail for their generous monetary donation to our school. The money will go towards a band project, school counselor project, and new picnic tables for our courtyard.





We are happy to tell you that Julia Clark was selected as One of the two National Runner-up Winners for the Life Is Good Art Contest. She was selected out of 5,500 entries! As a part of our AIG program, Stephen presented his project "Careers in Sports" to students interested in learning more about the wide variety of job opportunities for those who love sports. Great job, Stephen!

Following an error by the booking agent, the County Championship soccer match between Topsail Middle and Surf City Middle will be played January 11 at 4:30pm at Topsail High School

Blackout Poetry in Mrs. Pratt’s 7th grade ELA class to end their poetry unit! Blackout poems are created by using the pages of old books or even articles cut from the newspaper. Students pieced together single words or short phrases from these texts to create their poetic masterpieces!





Computer Science Discoveries students in all grade levels chose a person famous for contributing to coding, website design, or computers in some way. As a group they researched this person and delivered an oral presentation to their peers. Students also created poster boards of their person and presented them along with their slideshow.

Congratulations to James Russell and Ava Delbasty for being selected as two of the artists for the Pender County Schools Holiday Card Cover Series. Only Seven students in the county had art selected.
