Our Lost and Found is currently very full. Students are encouraged to check for any missing items. Parents, if you will be on campus for the upcoming holiday programs, we invite you to stop by the cafeteria and look through the Lost and Found as well. Thank you for helping us reunite these items with their owners!

We had a wonderful visit with author Dusti Bowling yesterday! Group presentations, lunch with our Battle of the Books teams, book signings, and a workshop for our aspiring writers were all on the schedule for the day. Our students left inspired! Thanks so much to the NC Arts Council for making this event possible. Thanks also to our PTA moms who jump in to help anytime we need them. It was a great day!

We are excitedly getting ready for our author visit with Dusti Bowling on Tuesday! She will sign copies of her books, so don't forget to grab a book if you'd like it signed! Also, please remind your students to sign up on our google form if they would like to attend her presentation or the writer's workshop. They can find the form in the media center or ELA teacher's google classrooms. Keep reading, Sharks!

Ethan Houston, a junior at Topsail High School, spent the day teaching our 6th grade science classes about space exploration- past, present, and future. He did a great job, and we're pretty sure we have some future astronauts in these photos.
Thanks, Ethan!
Thanks, Ethan!
Ms. Muffett’s 6th grade social study classes learned about papyrus in their ancient Egypt unit. Then they made their own! They put it to the test using it to complete their god/goddess project.

Mrs. Clarke’s 7th grade Learning Lab students participated in a small “Friendsgiving” potluck on Monday, Nov. 24th. The students previously worked on money and budgeting through a math computation activity. Students planned a Thanksgiving menu and recorded the prices of five items they selected. After that, they partnered up to create a new Thanksgiving menu—this time with a $40 budget based on their previous choices. The lesson gave students a hands-on look at the kinds of decisions families often make when planning holiday meals, especially when working within a budget. The “Friendsgiving” celebration was a fun way for students to come together, practice social and life skills, and celebrate the season. 🦃🥧
