Inspired by a peaceful coastal sunset, Lucy’s artwork features rolling ocean waves, shorebirds, and colorful starfish brought to life with soft watercolor techniques and vibrant beach colors. Her attention to movement, light, and detail captured the spirit of the seaside in a truly memorable way.
Lucy’s framed artwork will be proudly displayed at the Central Office for the next year. We are so proud of her creativity and artistic talent!

Students also participated in a special awards ceremony where gold, silver, and bronze medals were awarded for outstanding sportsmanship. To end the celebration, students enjoyed traditional Greek foods including grape leaves, hummus, and pita bread.
Thank you to our amazing volunteers, staff, PTA, and families for helping make this event such a memorable experience for our students!

Mrs. Hill’s Science Class is going “old school” and using real books to research animal species to create/design their own new hybrid organism! They really get into this project and I love seeing their creativity.

Each year, our 8th grade art students participate in a special legacy mural project by submitting original designs for consideration. All entries are reviewed and judged by administration, and students help determine both the location and imagery of the mural. The winning artists then collaborate with administration to make adjustments and refinements that best fit our school community.
This year’s mural transforms our Lost and Found area into an underwater treasure scene featuring a treasure chest overflowing with lost items surrounded by coral, sea life, and a frenzy of shark silhouettes swimming above. The vibrant colors and creative details make this space both fun and functional for students.
Congratulations to the students who helped bring this mural to life:
🦈 Kalyn Barker
🦈 Makayla Parmentier
🦈 Lily Schwarz
🦈 Rebecca Schweitzer
🦈 Caroline Shepard
🦈 Maddie Siemon
🦈 Ethan Wagner (Not Pictured)
We are so proud of the creativity, teamwork, and school pride these students demonstrated throughout this project. This 8th grade legacy mural allows students to leave a lasting mark on our school for years to come! We can not wait to see what these artists produce at the high school.

This week, we’re celebrating the heart, dedication, patience, creativity, and love our teachers pour into our students every single day. 🍎📚
Students and families from across our district sent in video messages to help us say one big, heartfelt THANK YOU. To make sure every school community can be celebrated together, we’ve combined the messages into one special video per school, and we’ll be sharing them throughout the week. 🎥🏫
These videos are filled with smiles, gratitude, and reminders of the incredible impact teachers make far beyond the classroom. 💛
To every teacher: thank you for showing up, lifting up, encouraging, inspiring, and believing in our students. You are appreciated more than words can say. 🌟

Students explored the structure and function of the eye by dissecting cow eyes, gaining a hands-on understanding of how vision works. From identifying the cornea and lens to discovering the optic nerve, they approached the lab with curiosity, focus, and impressive maturity.
Experiences like this bring science to life and spark deeper connections to what we learn in class. Way to go, scientists! 🧪🔬
