Mrs. Holmes's class held a Socratic Seminar focused on a character in the book "Tea with Milk" from their current Wit and Wisdom lessons. They are becoming much more comfortable with contributing to this whole-group discussion format while also using evidence from the book and 'active listening.' Mrs. Holmes is proud of them!


Mrs. Taylor's 1st grade class has been reading the book “Never Smile at a Monkey”. Today the kiddos finished their writing about what the authors point was and the reasons to support it. They've practiced writing topic sentences and conclusions and adding illustrations with details. Great work first grade! 🐵
