Today, 2nd graders had the privilege to hear from a local author, David Sokolofsky, who wrote the book, The Little Surfer Boy. Dave is also a good friend of Mr. Allen, they've been friends since they were 10 years old. Thanks Dave for coming to Surf City Elementary, reading to us and adding your wonderful book to our library collection. It's official, your picture has been added to our author wall!

There is a Zoom rental meeting tonight from 6pm - 7pm for any student who has not attended a meeting for instrument rentals. This is for any student/family who has NOT rented an instrument but is enrolling in band class next year at Surf City Middle School. Meeting link is below and included in the image. Our 5th graders had the opportunity to tour Surf City Middle School today to get a feel for where they will be learning next year. SCM is excited have these wonderful kids!
1st graders are wrapping up their time with our awesome Master Gardeners Club by cutting the lettuce that has been grown to bring to the sea turtles. Great work first grade, your school is proud of you! 🐢🥬😁
