
Mrs. McDonald’s Kindergarten class used items at their seat to determine what was lighter and heavier. Their chair was heavier than their Expo marker.

Mrs. Allen's 2nd grade class is participating in Hour of Code this week. The Hour of Code is a free introduction to computer science through fun activities. This class chose to spend their hour learning and playing the activity called Code Monkey.

Mrs. Taylor's first grade class took a deep exploration into abstract art and into the characters actions of the book Seven Blind Mice today. They had to take features of the elephant to build together, based on what the mice thought in the book. Great teamwork first grade! ✨




Thanks to some awesome elves, our lost items are organized and ready to be found. Over 250+ clothing items! After Dec. 20th the items will be donated.











Yesterday, staff participated in AAC training, which helps us understand and incorporate students' full communication abilities.

Mrs. Faircloth's 5th grade class has earned the top spot this week and won the Golden Trash Can. Mr. Jeff is proud of these students and the effort they put in each day to keep their room neat and organized.

Local author, Bec Martin, came to visit us today and read her new book, Bravery.

Kindergarten just finished up their unit one of Fundations and celebrated with a letter fashion show. Each student decorated their own letter vest and made things that started with that letter sound.

Students in Dr. Martin’s 3rd grade class kicked off their Holidays Around the Word Unit. Their first stop was New York City! Students got their passport, ticket, and suitcase and boarded the flight! Their learning goal was to learn about the holiday celebrations in America; Kwanzaa was the focal point of the lesson. While in NYC, they stopped and watched the Macy’s Day Parade and saw the floats & balloons that they made before Thanksgiving break.
