Making each day count in Dr. Martin’s class!
Dr. Martin and his students delved into unraveling the essence of "Action Jackson," a biography chronicling artist Jackson Pollock's life. The scholars engaged in dissecting the book to determine its core meaning. They also crafted a captivating movie poster for "Action Jackson." Lastly, they started their studies on analyzing key details to make connections between different parts of the text, including cause and effect, to build comprehension strategies.
In addition to literary exploration, students expanded their grasp of perimeter & area using grids. Also, they applied their coding skills through the Sphero app, utilizing Sphero robots to demonstrate the perimeter and area of quadrilaterals.
In science, students continued their work on understanding the human body systems with a focus on the muscular and skeletal system by creating a skeleton and labeling its functions.

PreK enjoyed a fun filled field day today at HTHS.

Kindergartners kicked off Module 4 of Wit and Wisdom by traveling around the world today to learn about the seven continents.

Mrs. Mitchell’s first grade class is discussing (think-pair-share) “Feelings” from their Wit and Wisdom lesson. Students are beginning to understand that sometimes a word that describes how we feel and how we behave are one in the same (for example lonely, and furious). Great job Mrs. Mitchell's friends!
