This is the second week of Pender County’s Awareness Month - Everyone is encouraged to wear yellow this week for Special Needs Awareness!

5th Grade Science completed an educational - and yummy - science experiment! After studying a unit on physical and chemical changes, students observed and identified changes to the ingredients as they applied their knowledge. This looks like a fun experiment to do at home!

3rd grade worked to create Play Doh people today! Their goal was to explore how important bones are in the human body; toothpicks created the “skeleton” so that the Play Doh person would stand up. This is a great activity that would be easy to try at home with your students!

HURRICANE IAN UPDATE - All after school activities for Thurs., Sept. 29 have been canceled due to the severe weather associated with Hurricane Ian. Please check with your school for any reschedule dates/times. #PSCPride

Pender County Schools will move to remote learning on Fri., Sept. 30th due to possible severe weather associated with Hurricane Ian. Teachers will advise students on their assignments. Updates, if needed, will be on our websites, mobile app, and social media platforms #PCSPride

Kindergarten is getting in on the apple fun, too! They completed a variety of activities by using their apple theme, and even had an apple tasting!

Happy Fall, y'all! Our first grade classrooms are learning all about apples right now and read the book "Ten Apples Up On Top." Students then worked in small groups to see who could stack the most 'apples' on their head! Dr. Brown won with five apples!

Thank you to all of our families who came to our Title I Curriculum Night! It was so
wonderful to see you!

2nd grade works hard so that they can play hard!
