Rocky Point Elementary School

Our 21st Century after-school program has been having a great time creating artwork and playing games in the gym! In addition to all of these fun activities, students work on classroom assignments and life skills to help them be the best that they can be!

Pre-K had fun with "Polar Express Day!" They wore jammies, ate popcorn, and enjoyed hot chocolate - the perfect way to spend a day before winter break! #OnePender

Don't forget our PARENT'S NIGHT OUT tonight from 5:30-8:30pm. Entry is $20 per family, but remember to send extra money for snacks and concessions! We can't wait to party with everyone tonight!

In the spirit of the holiday season, we invite all students to participate in some holiday dress up fun this upcoming week!

Monday, December 15: Candy Cane Day - Wear red and white or candy-cane themed attire

Tuesday, December 16: Be Merry & Bright - Wear bright colors

Wednesday, December 17: Holiday Sweater - Wear a holiday-themed sweater

Thursday, December 18; Grinch Day - Wear Grinch or Geen Apparel

Friday, December 19: Polar Express Day - Wear school appropriate Pajamas

Due to a high increase in student and staff illnesses, we have decided to POSTPONE both K-2 and 3-5 Winter Concerts until after the New Year. We want to make sure that everyone can stay healthy and safe for the holiday season! As a reminder, students should not return to school until they have been fever-free for 24 hours (without the use of fever reducer).

We look forward to this final week of learning before a well-deserved break!

Our "Girls on the Run" team completed their 5K this past Sunday, December 7th! Girls on the Run participates in the William H. Craig Race for Life 5k each year at UNCW. The race was established to honor the life of Dr. Bill Craig and his many contributions to the community! Thank you to Ms. Stewart and Ms. Tidler for leading this group of amazing girls!

Our K-2 students are so excited to present their Winter Concert tomorrow! The concert starts at 6pm - please be sure to arrive in time for your student to get settled with their class before the concert begins. Students should "dress to impress" or wear a solid color shirt.

Students should "dress to impress" or wear solid colors. The students can't wait to perform for you and show what they've learned in music class! #OnePender

¡Nuestros Conciertos de Invierno vendrán pronto el 11 de diciembre y el 16 de diciembre! Our Hispanic Heritage Celebration was held on October 24th, and it was a huge success! The night was full of food, games, art, and dancing by our very own student troupe, Bailadores del Sol.
