Our Kindergarteners celebrated Earth Day yesterday, by learning about dirt, planting seeds and learning how seeds grow. They had a blast!!! 🌼🪏🌱

Looking for a fun and engaging summer opportunity for students ages 10–14? 🌟

UNCW’s Junior Seahawk Academy is back for Summer 2026 with hands-on experiences in STEM, healthcare, and teacher education. Students will explore real-world learning through live demonstrations and interactive activities.

The 6th grade had an awesome field trip recently to High Tides and Good Vibes in Surf City. Students enjoyed bowling, arcade games, laser tag, and a simulation ride before picnicking at the park on the waterway.

Morning Bell Brain Busters with Mrs Jones and Mrs Fennell! It’s fun watching students answer questions into the microphone about Pythagorean Theorem, the difference between theme and main idea, how to treat viruses and so much more! It’s also impressive to watch their peers jump in to help when they stumble ! Ms Jordan even got put on the spot with a question!! This is an amazing idea to get children excited and engaged even before they enter the classroom. Kudos to Mrs Jones and Ms Fennell!!!

Join us on April 20th for an evening designed to help your child feel confident and prepared for the next school year.

Our two sessions will be:

You’ll get a first look at our transition to becoming a Leader in Me School, followed by time to:
• Meet next year’s teachers
• Visit classrooms
• Learn expectations for the upcoming grade level

Plus, we’ll have snacks available as you connect with staff and other families.

🐝 Through the Halls Thursday 🐝 This week we are highlighting all the amazing art our students have done this year!! Our students are so creative and talented 🎨🖌️

We had the BEST time on our Kindergarten field trip to Red Beard Farms! 🍓🌱🐓 Our students got to experience so many hands-on activities—from yoga in the fresh air to learning all about seeds, soil blocks, vegetables, chickens, and even mushrooms! Every station was engaging, educational, and full of fun. And of course… the highlight for many was getting to sample their DELICIOUS fresh strawberries! 🍓 We are so grateful to Red Beard Farms for their kindness, patience, and passion for teaching. They are always so welcoming, and it truly shows in everything they do. Not to mention—their produce is absolutely amazing! Thank you for giving our students such a memorable and meaningful experience! 💛🌿
