Cub Council is back!
We are excited to offer our 3rd–5th grade students the opportunity to be part of this student leadership group! Cub Council is a great way for students to share their ideas, represent their classmates, and help make a positive difference at Cape Fear Elementary.
Applications are due September 11th. Students can pick up an application from their homeroom teacher.

Mrs. Bass’s third grade class enjoyed being able to “teach” each other today for the third math lesson of the year!
Mrs Robertsons class spent their first staggered start day getting to know the school, peers, transitions, routines, and learning all about school wide expectations. This is the 1st group of the week and we can't wait to see everyone soon!
Mrs. Johnson’s class has had a great first staggered start day of pre-K!
"You can never get enough books into the hands of enough children."-Dolly Parton
5th graders in Mrs. Garvey’s homeroom went to “Starbooks” today and had a book tasting! The students sampled different books and wrote down ones that interested them!
Today, 1st Grade kicked off Module 1 in Wit & Wisdom: A World of Books! Students worked with a partner to discuss things they noticed and wondered about in a new text. They also learned how to use the “Wonder Wheel” to help them generate thoughtful questions and deepen their thinking.
Check out our new Kindergarten Cubs enjoying Music Class!
It was a Happy First Day!
The halls were buzzing with excitement, the cafeteria was filled with friends enjoying lunch together, and we even managed to beat the rain at dismissal!
What a wonderful first day with our Cubs! Here’s to an amazing year ahead! ✨
Almost time for school! We’re so excited to see all of our Cubs tomorrow morning!
💙 WELCOME BACK, CUB FAMILIES! 💙
The wait is almost over! We are excited to welcome our Cubs back to Cape Fear Elementary for an amazing 2026–2027 school year!
This year, we are CUBS ON THE PATH TO SUCCESS!
Every new school year is the beginning of a journey, and every step along the way matters. Together—students, staff, families, and our community—we will create a year filled with learning, growth, meaningful relationships, and success!
As our Cubs walk through the doors, we want them to know:
💙 You belong here.
💙 We believe in you.
💙We expect great things from you.
💙 We will celebrate your growth along the way.
Parents and families, thank you for trusting us with your most precious gifts. We are proud to have you as part of our CFE family and can't wait to partner with you this year.
Get those backpacks ready, Cubs! The path is waiting, and WE ARE READY!
One Path. One Pride. One Pack.
💙 Cubs on the Path to Success!
