Our K-Kids Club has partnered with Heide Trask’s Key Club to organize a pen pal program with a local assisted living community. Today students received their first letters back from their pen pals! 📝 Way to spread kindness in our community, K-Kids! 💙
Some of our firsties are loving The Wild Robot so much that they made a model of the gosling's nest in the sandbox at recess! Some even take their copy of the book out to read during recess. #bringingbookstolife

Science Alliance came out today to do some weather activities with our 5th graders.
Today Ms. Coleman’s class played an intense game of “swat the number” to practice number recognition! We had so much fun. The students were great competitors and celebrated each team win or loose!!

Before and After... With the help of students from PACES and 21st CLCC, they pulled the weeds and repotted some tulips in our CFE garden. The garden is already starting to look different, can't wait to see the finishing results. More pictures coming soon!

Mrs. Bass's class earned chalk day by earning 100 paw prints. 🐾 They enjoyed their brain break and the sunshine in the middle of class.
The Spring Into Reading Book Fair was a huge success! 🌟 We saw so many kids excited about reading and discovering new stories. The funds raised will help support our school library. Thank you for making this book fair a true community event! Shout out to all the students, teachers, parents, and volunteers who made this event such a success! We're already looking forward to next year!

Ms. Coleman’s class is finishing up their “Building Study” this week. Today they created a labeled map using real pictures as a guide of the Rocky Point Community. This map featured many locations they utilize or get to see on a daily basis (Cape Fear Elementary, Food Lion, Rocky Point Post Office, McDonald’s, Rocky Point Fire Station etc).
Fourth graders performed a fabulous Rockin' Recorder Recital tonight! Congratulations on a job well done!

Kindergarten played Gold Coin CVC word Musical Chairs, went on a scavenger hunt hidden in our Heggerty Lesson to find a surprise left by those sneaky leprechauns, and just had the absolute best day learning and laughing together today! 💚☘️🌈
