Bus 270 does not have a driver this morning. Transportation is working on arranging a bus to run that route as soon as possible.
Good evening families
Just a reminder that our 11th graders will be taking the ACT tomorrow morning. We will be starting the test at 9 a.m. students who are not in their testing location by 9 will not be able to take their test tomorrow.
Students were told their testing locations during Homeroom on Monday. Students have also been shared locations via their e-mails. Please ensure that your student looks over the test plan if they need. Staff will be on hand to help navigate students to the proper location.
Students not testing will report to their Period 1 class. All upstairs classes have had to relocate. Those locations were shared with students Monday as well. Students will be in Period 1 for about two hours and then transition to Period 2 for another two hours.

It was an incredible week at Topsail High School as we hosted the second annual Connect For Success NC SHED Building Competition and, for the first time ever the THS, welcomed VOLT!
We’re beyond excited to announce that Topsail took FIRST PLACE in VOLT — an amazing accomplishment, especially since we don’t even offer electrical classes on our campus. Huge congratulations to our students for their hard work and dedication!
In the SHED competition, Mr. Munroe’s team earned a proud third-place finish, with West Brunswick coming in second and Bunn High School taking home the top prize. All sheds have been sold, and we’re already looking ahead and planning next year’s events.

Teacher Tuesday - Susan Mowrey, Topsail High School! 🌍📚
Susan Mowrey’s journey to teaching started when she taught English overseas as a temporary job. She discovered a passion for seeing the lightbulb turn on for students—and that spark has guided her career for the last 23 years! 💡
Her favorite subject to teach is AP Human Geography because it covers everything happening in the world. But, her family would argue that AP Psychology holds a special place too, as she often comes home excited to talk about the discoveries her students make each day. 🧠🌏
One of her proudest moments recently was working as a consultant with the NC AP Partnership, where she found a new love for teaching adults. It’s clear that Susan’s impact stretches beyond just her students! 👩🏫🌱
Outside of the classroom, Susan enjoys reading and gardening, and her green thumb helps her unwind after a busy day. 🌸
At home, she shares her life with a dog who has very strong opinions! She loves how her dog’s affection is a quick mood booster, but also appreciates how she knows when Susan needs some space—a true mental health check from her furry friend. 🐶💖
Her favorite travel destination is her hometown in Michigan, where she finds peace and nostalgia. 🌲
Susan’s personal motto is a reminder that “Daily life is life and it makes a difference to them.” It’s a philosophy that reflects how she views her role—small moments truly do matter to students. 🌟
