🎉 This week, three beginning Topsail CTE teachers joined two fellow beginning CTE teachers from across Pender County at the CTE Summer Conference in Winston-Salem!
Throughout the week, they explored strategies to support student success, strengthen classroom instruction, and grow as CTE professionals. 💡✏️
These dedicated educators are one step closer to completing the New Teacher Induction Program, and we can’t wait to see the positive impact they’ll have on our students this school year! 👏

Attention Class of 2026,
If you were unable to sign up for a June portrait date, August dates have been opened! Portrait sessions will be in the THS cafeteria August 11-15. Appointments will fill up quickly, so schedule soon for your portrait session.

Below is additional information and clarification about senior portraits:
1. Senior Portraits in the summer are done by Strawbridge and include several poses. There is a sitting fee of $39.00 paid to Strawbridge. This has nothing to do with yearbook except Strawbridge shares the gown/tuxedo pose with us to use for the yearbook. In the fall, parents will receive a link by email with the digital proofs to order copies/packages of any of the photos they want.
2. If students can't make any of the summer portrait sessions OR they only want the one pose for the yearbook without paying the sitting fee, there will be a make-up dates on September 11th and 12th for the gown/tuxedo pose that we will use in the yearbook. Parents will receive a link in the fall with the proofs to order for themselves.
3. Students do not need to wear or bring their own formal wear. Strawbridge provides the gown cover-up and the tuxedo top for students to wear in the formal portrait pose.

ATTENTION Rising Juniors and Seniors...Parking Passes will be sold August 12th, 13th and 14th. A sign-up form will be sent out to student emails on August 4th by noon. To be eligible, students must have maintained an overall unweighted GPA of 2.0 or higher and passed all courses, which includes CFCC and NCVPS courses, from the previous academic year. Go Pirates!

Topsail High School is pleased to announce Matt Davis as our Interim Athletic Director effective July 1st. Mr. Davis currently serves as our County AD and will return to that role once a permanent hire is approved. On behalf of our Pirate family, we want to thank Tod Morgan for his contributions to our athletic program. With his guidance, our school community was recently recognized by the NCHSAA as an Exemplary School. Mr. Morgan will continue to serve Topsail High School in his current role as Assistant Principal.

PCS is proud to partner once again with the NC Department of Public Instruction, No Kid Hungry NC, and the Carolina Hunger Initiative to offer free summer meals for children 18 and younger. Beginning Wednesday, June 18 through July 30, families can pick up 5 days’ worth of breakfast 🥣 and lunch 🥪 at four school sites—South Topsail, C.F.
