Topsail students traveled to UNCW to see the Collage Dance Collective from Memphis, TN. The company performed dances from their larger concert series including a piece called "Rise" using the speech of Dr. Martin Luther King. Students were also invited to participate on stage, great job Ani & Tatiana!
Congrats to 3 outstanding young men from Topsail High School who won the NC Fencing League High School State Championship! On Saturday at Chapel Hill High School Jackson Jones, Ryan O’Dea and James Russell defeated Salem Academy 5-0 and won it all against Bishop McGuinness High School 5-2! Way to go Pirates!

Please help us in congratulating Topsail Senior, Bella Bellomo. She has been recognized as a 2024 CS Music All State Singer in the Musical Theater division for North Carolina! She will be moving on to the next round of their vocal competition held in Washington, DC this May where she will be showcased in front of various colleges and musical theater programs from across the country! We are so proud of her and her dedication to Theatre Arts.

Please join us in congratulating the Topsail Pirates on their tournament this weekend in Chapel Hill. Senior Isaiah V. finished with a score of 4/5 and earned fourth place. Isaiah came in first in his rating class, and junior Jack S. placed second in his rating class. All of the Pirates played five games, each of them lasting more than an hour. Way to go! We are proud of our pirates!

Today we ended bus driver appreciation week by preparing and serving breakfast for our bus drivers. We are so thankful for our bus drivers and have really enjoyed spoiling them this week!

Today our bus drivers were given gift cards from our PTSO and candy with prayer cards from out FCA students. Thank you for continuing to show support to our hard working bus drivers!
Congratulations are in order for Mrs. Miranda Wells as last night Mr. Bates announced she has been selected as the Pender County Schools CTE NCCAT Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Wells is a health science teacher, CTE department chair, HOSA advisor, mentor to CTE teachers around the county and a board member for the Spot Festival. She works tirelessly for our students and we are so proud she is a pirate.
Bus drivers were shown some love this morning with gifts from Renovation church and our PTSO!
Please see the attached letter regarding ACT testing that will take place at school and is required for all junior students. This test will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 27th with your child's homeroom teacher. Students will be communicated testing locations within THS next week during homeroom.
Topsail High School student clubs and PTSO came together to spoil our bus drivers today. Donuts and goody bags were handed out to show some love on this rainy day. Our drivers also received a special invitation to breakfast on Friday that will be prepared by THS staff. Happy Bus Driver Appreciation Week!

Winterguard-- Congratulations to the THS Winterguard on a great first competition run this weekend at Cleveland High School! They were 4th out of 14 in their class missing 3rd by .8 points!
District Honor Band--Congratulations to the record 16 Topsail High School band students who participated in the NCBA Eastern District Honor Band Clinic at ECU This weekend!
