Shout out to Raise the Bar Physical Therapy for allowing Olivia McGee to spend 120 hours with them this summer completing an internship. Olivia wants to pursue a career in the medical field and Raise the Bar is allowing her to observe pediatric and adult physical therapy, OT and speech therapy. She is loving pediatric speech therapy and is thankful for the opportunity to take part!

Last Thursday night, Topsail High School had the honor of celebrating the academic and athletic scholarships received by the graduating class of 2024! Congratulations seniors and thank you to our community organizations for providing nearly $70,000 in student scholarships this year! It is a great time to be a Pirate!

👏Exciting news! Heide Trask & Topsail HS's grant applications APPROVED by NCHSAA Foundation! 🎉HTHS gets $5,000 for stadium scoreboard, THS $4,680 for coaches' education, aiming for NFHS Level 3 Honor Roll! 🌟Kudos to both schools!

Topsail High School Coast Guard JROTC’s Color Guard traveled to the Outer Banks this week to present the Colors at two very special ceremonies to honor British and Canadian Navy sailors who were killed off the coast of the Outer Banks as a result of German U-Boat attacks during World War II. In April of 1942 the British Armed Tanker SAN DELFINO was attacked by a German U-Boat, killing 28 British Sailors. The bodies of two of those sailors washed ashore near Pea Island and were buried in Buxton. A month later, the HMS BEDFORDSHIRE was attacked near Ocracoke Island. All hands aboard were killed. The bodies of four of those sailors are buried on Ocracoke. Each year, representatives from the United States Coast Guard, The National Parks Service along with the British and Canadian Naval Attachés conduct the British War Grave ceremonies in Buxton and Ocracoke to honor the sacrifice of the SAN DELFINO and BEDFORDSHIRE sailors.
