Thanks to Senior Engineer, Laura Alexander and Founder Jared Crooks, we now have 2 MakerBot 3D Printers from Jared's company, AM Toolbox. Our school will be able to use this tool to educate children and inspire them to love design and engineering as much as AM Toolbox does. Many thanks for this awesome donation!

The winner of the GOLDEN trash can this week is Mrs. Smith’s 1st grade class. Mr. Jeff says that they set a goal for themselves and have worked hard to achieve it. Keep up the great work 1st grade!

On Thursday, January 13, Matthew Curry traveled to Cape Fear Elementary to talk about his Science Fair project, Family Fingerprints. He talked to several different people telling them what he did to find out about fingerprints and what his results were. Due to this great presentation, Matthew was one of the winners for the County Elementary Science Fair. He will now compete virtually in the regional Science Fair in February.

1st grader Elani visited her old K classroom to read a book on MLK Jr. Elani is an excellent student and even better human being. She embodies the true spirit of treating everyone equal and with compassion. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.

A big thanks to Topsail Magazine for putting the spotlight on Superintendent Hill's personal path and the one he envisions for students in Pender County Schools to succeed.
