In honor of Halloween, Mrs. Holmes' 3rd grade class engineered catapults. Then, they explored different ways to launch a piece of pumpkin candy. Mrs. Hughes' 1st grade class enjoyed being Pumpkin investigators.


Mrs. Pastore’s third grade had a great learning-based fall party! They created edible skin science, embellished pumpkin art, revisited mummy history, and got a lot of physical dance movement in. We had a great time!
Today was the last day of Red Ribbon Week and we wore superhero shirts because we have the power to make Really Excellent Decisions every day.

Mrs. Pastore’s third grade has started their book clubs! Team Touch Blue and Super Stallions are rising to the challenge and doing amazing work with their novels.

Mrs. Royal & Mrs. Capp's Kindergarten had a great week working on their Pumpkin Investigation activities. They measured, used descriptive words, made predictions and their happy faces are the perfect way to show that learning is fun!


Congratulations to Mrs. Finley's Kindergarten classroom for winning the Golden Trash Can. Mr. Jeff has noticed that they have been working hard to pick up their floors and organize their supplies so he can clean each evening.

Today is Team Day for Red Ribbon Week because we are teaming up to make healthy choices. Don’t forget to wear superhero shirts tomorrow.

This is a friendly reminder that the Surf City Fire Department and SCE PTA calendar fundraiser pictures/drawings are due Monday, October 31st. We have had some pictures rolling in this week, but would love to see many more come Monday.
