Kindergarten has thoroughly enjoyed their science for the 4th quarter as they compared the characteristics of living and nonliving things by taking care of eggs as they grew into chicks. What a great experience for these young scientists!

4th grades students had a great time last Friday visiting Tryon Palace in New Bern. It was the first permanent capitol of NC and students visited to see how early colonists lived and to see the first governor's palace. They also studied the history of the Coastal Plain region of NC.

Many thanks to the author, JJ Allen, for coming to read her books to our first grade classes. She was gracious enough to leave copies in each 1st grade classroom as well as in the library. What a great experience for our students to know that we are all capable of being authors!



Congratulations to our Science Olympiad team that competed at the PCS Science Olympiad competition this past weekend. There were many students who won medals and smiles all around. Science Olympiad team, your school is proud of you!
