This year first grade students have been learning how to grow lettuce to donate to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital. This week, first grade classes were able to visit the hospital where they were able to see some of the difference they are making. They learned about how the turtles end up in the hospital, what the volunteers are doing to get them back where they belong, and how people of all ages can help keep our sea turtles safe. They even got to see some of the sea turtle eating the lettuce that they grew!
