A HUGE thank you to Renovation Church. During their Serve Day they volunteered to come put out mulch, pull dead plants, and plant flowers as they spruced up the landscaping around the school signs. Our PTA also bought new palm trees that were planted out front. #communitylove

This morning, 3rd grade students had the opportunity to meet author Mary Cerullo. Ms. Cerullo is the author of ‘Giant Squid: Searching for a Sea Monster’. Students have been using the book to learn about central message, text features, and writing complete paragraphs to demonstrate their understanding of why scientists explore the ocean for sea creatures. If you heard cheering after school from Dr. Martin's classroom it was the “Just Plane Awesome” Science Olympiad team. They got the motor to work for their plane!! The students worked diligently on carefully constructing their model planes. Next, they have to test out their hypothesis on how far it will fly using 1 of 3 methods.
