Fourth Grade students have been learning about the causes of the Revolutionary War in Social Studies, and are beginning Module 3, "The Redcoats are Coming!' in ELA classes. Students took field trips to Moore's Creek Battlefield to learn about this Patriot victory of the Revolutionary War. They also visited Poplar Grove Plantation to learn about early colonial life in our area.

They have been working on topic sentences and key details. 📚 Across the hall, Mrs. Harbin's class worked on a St. Patricks Day science experiment with Leprechaun rocks. They poured “magic potion” (vinegar) on their rocks and found gold coins. ☘️

The Master Gardner's visited first grade this week. Their lesson this month was all about plants and what a plant needs to grow. Mrs. Bricken's class planted some dandelion seeds to grow for the sea turtles at the Sea Turtle Hospital. 🐢
