Miss Moriarity's class celebrating Wacky Wednesday!

Thankful for our connection with SCM and the National Jr. Honor Society students. Our teachers and students love when 8th graders like Stephen come in to work with our younger grades.

Thanks to our awesome Surf City Police for sitting down to eat lunch with our 1st graders. It is their goal to be at SCE or SCM each month, eating lunch and talking with students. So thankful to be part of this great community!

In honor of Read Across America Week our Sea Turtles had a visit from a guest reader today. Thank you to Dr. Priddy for sharing the love of reading with many of our classrooms. #ReadAcrossAmericaDay

Thanks to Mr. Judy from Surf City Middle for coming over to talk to our 5th graders about the opportunity to join band next year in 6th grade.

Mrs. Rice and Mrs. Seferyn had their 4th grade students read a selection about stuttering, and famous people who have learned to cope with it. Mrs. Wood came in and talked to students about stuttering, what it is and ways people cope, and how we can help friends who stutter.

Get ready to celebrate Read Across America Week, February 28 - March 4!

Students had a great time participating in a fun run today to raise money for our school. These students (and their parents) pulled in $77,000 in pledges which means that our profits are almost $53,000! That's $15,000 more in profits than we have done in any previous year.

Tomorrow's the day!
1st and 4th will run at 9am.
Kinder and 5th start at 10:30
2nd and 3rd run at 11:45.
Come cheer on your sea turtles!
