Mrs. Workman's Kindergarten class finished writing and illustrating their first book because they have been learning about the elements of a good story (characters/setting, problem, responses to problem, and resolution). While over in 3rd grade, Mrs. Hart's class performing Tableaus from events in their book: Moonshot by Brian Flora. Keep up the great work!





Mrs. McDonald's Kindergarten kids are finding partners to 5 using Eureka math picture cards. Success!

Students in Mrs. Rice's 4th grade class are learning about extreme settings and how they change characters. To prepare for reading the novel, Hatchet, students researched and created brochures about hiking in the mountains. They included interesting facts, dangers and reminders.

Students in Mrs. Horne's 5th grade class paired up to practice their fluency with a partner. Students assisted and critiqued their partner with unfamiliar words, comprehension, expression and misconceptions about their current novel, "Phantom Tollbooth."

Mrs. Buss’ class celebrated groundhogs day by making a prediction chart while
Mrs. Collin's 5th grade class watched the livestream of America's favorite groundhog, Phil. His prediction was clear – a forecast of an early spring! 🌼

Reem and Lila from Mrs. Rice’s 4th grade class wrote a book together. The students did a fantastic job reading the book and answering questions from Mrs. McDonald’s students. Great job girls!



Ms. Milliner's 2nd grade class got to build ducks using tangrams today. They are learning how to compose and decompose shapes. Keep up the great work!




Third Grade took a field trip to Sunset Beach to visit Ingram Planetarium yesterday & today. Students watched a presentation on the Sun, Earth, and Moon with amazing visuals to demonstrate the magnificent solar system. This aligned to their current module in Wit & Wisdom. In the presentation, many students made connections to information they learned during module 2.



Check out Mrs. Gray's 3rd graders having some fun on this rainy Wednesday morning. They're practicing the Y and suffix spelling rule during Fundations.
