Students in Mrs. Forbis’ 2nd grade class have spent the past few weeks learning about and observing the life cycle of the Painted Lady Butterfly. They have watched as their tiny caterpillars grew, went into their chrysalis, and emerged as beautiful orange butterflies. Today they were able to release all six of their butterflies and they cheered as they watched them fly away.

Check out these awesome submissions from our Reading With My Peeps photo contest. Winners will be announced Thursday morning on the Student News. https://bit.ly/4jbNjP8

Today, Ms. Meadows PreK class read the story My Magnificent Jelly Bean Tree. After the story, the children planted their very own jelly bean and had the chance to imagine what might grow from it. They then drew their predictions on paper to create pages for their class book. To finish off the fun, the students took part in a magical egg scavenger hunt, following clues to discover hidden eggs!
