🚨 Attention Parents of Soccer Players 🚨
We will have an interest meeting on Thursday, October 10th for any athlete who plans to tryout for soccer! If your athlete played football, softball, or is a current cheerleader, then you are not required to attend the meeting, but all forms must still be up to date in Big Teams/Student Central. You may still come if you'd like more information on soccer specifically.
⚽️ All NEW athletes for the 2024-2025 school year MUST have a parent representative at this meeting AND have all forms completed in Big Teams/Student Central to be eligible to tryout. ⚽️

Pender County School Families,
Today a few school districts in North Carolina were affected by false reports of violence on their campuses. We have been in contact with local law enforcement and there is no credible threat to any of our schools. It appears to be part of a hoax known as “swatting.”
While Pender County Schools has not experienced this issue directly, we know the message is circulating on social media and that many of our families may be understandably concerned about school safety. Please know that our top priority is the safety and well-being of our students and staff. We take any and all reports of potential threats seriously, and we are making every effort to maintain an environment where students and staff feel safe.
We would like to continue to remind our students and school community, if you see something, “Say Something” using our reporting system located on the main webpage of every school as well as the Pender County Schools mobile app. Also always report, don’t repost. Sharing false information, making threats, and engaging in online harassment are serious offenses that can have severe consequences.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your individual school. Thank you for your attention to this important update.

Our Pender Middle Patriots will travel to Surf City Middle tomorrow! ❤️🤍💙Come out and cheer them on! 🏈📣

📢 Schools Open on Normal Schedule Wednesday, September 18! 📚
We’re happy to inform you that all Pender County Schools will resume regular operations on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

There will be NO practices today after school. This includes football, cheer, and softball. The home softball game previously scheduled for this afternoon will also be rescheduled. If you have any questions, please contact your respective coaches.
Stay dry, Hornets!

Due to the current weather conditions, Pender County Schools is moving to an early release schedule. Additionally, all after-school activities have been canceled.
To view the updated bell schedule for early release, please visit our website - https://www.pender.k12.nc.us/page/school-bell-schedule

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Please stay safe.

Introducing....your Penderlea boys who are a part of the Pender Middle Football team for 2024! 🏈
Let's Go Patriots! 💙❤️🤍

Kindergarten had the best time being Seashore Explorers today at Ecological Marine Adventures in Surf City! They learned all about the different shells of NC, scoured the beach for those shells, touched and learned about several sea animals (and one special guest! 🐍), and did a pier walk! 🌊

🥎 ITS GAME DAY, HORNETS! 🐝
Our first home softball game will be played today at Penderlea!
Great news! This year all elementary age and younger students (birth-5th grade) may enter free of charge into any middle school games across the county! 🆓 (they must have an adult chaperone with them)
Even better news, because today is our first home softball game, ALL PENDERLEA STUDENTS get in free with an adult!
Game time is 4pm! See you on the field! 🥎
Let's Go Hornets! 🐝 #feelthesting

Penderlea Beta Club students have teamed up with Laurels of Pender to become "Beta Buddies!" Their first night of activities was this past Tuesday, when the Beta members hosted Bingo for the residents! They all had a great time, even if some of the residents told us they were just there for the snacks 😁! Beta members will be going each month to engage with the residents and host a fun activity!
