Kindergarten had an amazing day learning about farms first hand! They visited Red Beard Farms and Agape Farm of Watha, both within 10 miles from our school! They were able to make soil blocks, plant seeds, learn about vegetables in all stages of growth, harvest sweet potatoes, and visit with farm animals! 🚜👨🏽‍🌾🥕🥬🍆🥦🍠🐮🐐🐓🖤

The Pink Out game was a success!! 💕💕💕💕💕 With the help of the fans from Surf City Middle & Penderlea, we raised $1000 to donate to The Reel Housewives of Topsail Island. This is a local organization that raises money to benefit families who are local to us and have been affected by breast cancer! THANK YOU for supporting the Hornets & the Sharks fighting breast cancer together! 🐝🩷🦈🤝⚽️ #onepender

(No amount is too small or too large) All money will be given to a local organization that supports local families affected by breast cancer! Red Ribbon Week--Crazy Sock Day!

Pender Early College High School visited with our 8th graders today! They learned what makes PECHS different from traditional high schools. We had students who are Penderlea Alumni talk about their experience at PECHS as well.

Tomorrow will be our first home soccer game of the 2024 season! We are EXCITED that this game will be a PINK OUT game and ALL money collected will go directly to local families affected by breast cancer. Wear your pink and bring your donations! No amount is too small or too large for this cause!

Another SHOUT OUT to Builders Discount Center of Wallace for their generous donation of the plywood for our Fall Festival games! 🎯⛳️🎈

Ms Thompson has been in Asheville assisting with their students returning to school. Ms. Thompson took the letters that students wrote to volunteers assisting with clean up after Hurricane Helene and hand delivered some of the cards to the school and some to a church that was distributing donations. Thank you to the classes that wrote letters as they were very appreciative of the thoughtfulness shown.

SHOUT OUT TO FOUR COUNTY for keeping the lights on for the Fall Festival! 💡 We have about an hour left of fun thanks to their generous contribution! 🖤

It's a beautiful day for some fall fun! 🍁 Come out to our fall festival this evening and support our Hornet athletes! 🐝🖤 Wristbands are $5 for all games, all night! Face painting is $1! 🎨 There will be hot dogs, bbq sandwiches, and other things for sale for concessions! 🌭🥤 We will also have some other contests that can be entered for additional $$! 🎂 We can't wait to see you 5:30-8pm!
