PECHS students recognized at Cape Fear Community College Student Recognition Ceremony!! Jordyn Reuter received the Special Recognition Award for outstanding service in Phi Theta Kappa. Seth Savage received the Special Recognition Award for outstanding academic achievement in Pender Early College High School.
Parents/Guardians, the PTA will host its next meeting today. They do so much to support our staff and our students, we really encourage you to be a part of this important group.

More from Pender Early College High School which made a day of unveiling their National Blue Ribbon School wall plaque. Food trucks were brought in to make it a celebration which was well deserved after becoming the first school in the county to earn the distinction.

Our Student Government Association has organized a fundraiser for the young men lost in the tragic plane crash off the coast of North Carolina.
We will unite with the students and families of East Carteret High School by wearing camouflage gear tomorrow, Thursday, February 17, 2022.
East Carteret HS has requested that all monetary donations be made to the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum and Heritage Center. Our SGA will accept the donations for our school.
Please donate to our students as they support the Down East families.
Krispy Kreme doughnut pre-orders end February 25th. We will be delivering the doughnuts on Monday, February 28th.
Reminder to all PECHS juniors that the ACT Boot camp starts at 8 am and ends at 3 tomorrow, February 11th. This will help prepare you for the March 1st ACT test day! See you in the morning!
The PECHS Prom Committee is taking pre-orders for Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Pre-orders will be accepted until February 25th. We will deliver to our schools, local businesses in Surf City/Hampstead, local businesses in North Wilmington, and in downtown Burgaw. All other orders can be picked up at our school.
Please notify Ms. Robbins (abby_robbins@pender.k12.nc.us) or Ms. Grable (shannon_grable@pender.k12.nc.us) if you would like to pre-order doughnuts. The cost is $11.00/per dozen.
HEAD OF THE CLASS - Congrats to Pender High School in earning Level 3 status in the National Federation of State High School Association School Honor Roll program. PHS is just the 3rd school in the nation to earn all three levels of the Honor Roll Program. https://bit.ly/3JbvPjB

During the Board of Education meeting Christie Brown (PECHS) and Dr. Larry Obeda (THS) accepted certificates from the State recognizing their outstanding graduation rates. Board Chair Brad George accepted for Pender County Schools which was named a Top Ten district.
Walk the Walk - Pender County Schools was recently recognized as a "Top Ten" school district for graduation rates (93.2%). Pender Early College High School achieved 100% graduation for 2020-21, Topsail High School achieved 95.2%.
