Here is what is going on in April at PECHS! #PECHSpring

Not only is Nurse Avery a fabulous school nurse, she is also a great teacher! Our anatomy students learned how to take blood pressure and how to perform CPR. Thanks for keeping us "Stayin' Alive" (the perfect beat for chest compressions), Nurse Avery!
The PECHS garden club is having a spring plant sale. Check out our variety of veggies, herbs, native plants, and succulents! Get a free native plant with a $10 minimum purchase!

Shout out to the Pender County Schools Teen Court Team over the weekend! at the Teen Court Summit. Aiden won Best Defendant and was able to take home a trophy, and Alana won Summit Spirit after being nominated by other counties based on her good sportsmanship. #OnePender

Our county ROCAME team brought home the trophy for the third year in a row! With students from West Pender Middle, Penderlea, Topsail High, and PECHS, it was truly a student-led county partnership. Our PCS team represented us with leadership, sportsmanship, and team spirit. Congrats to our winners and thank you to ROCAME for putting on this event!

On Tuesday, our students prepared for the Teen Court competition by participating in a mock trial, with Principal Mr. Sidor serving as the judge.🧑⚖

Congrats to PECHS student, Amanda Brunjes, who will have her art on display at the CFCC Student Art Exhibition from 3/9 to 5/1 in the Wilma Daniels Gallery. Amanda is a perfect example of PECHS students taking art classes on the college level through CFCC. #PECHStrong

Attention Graduates and Families: If you are interested in perusing a career in Pender County or for Pender County Schools, please attend the Career Fair at Heidi Trask High School Gym on March 31 from 4:30 to 7:00 PM. Colleges will also be there for future education pathways.

Congrats to Mackenna and Erica for winning the month of February's Million Minutes Challenge! So proud of both of you!

PECHS report cards have been posted in the Parent Portal of Infinite Campus for the 3rd Quarter. CFCC classes are not posted because they are semester classes. You can always ask your child to pull up their CFCC grades anytime on their CFCC Canvas.

Students in Mr. Bogie's English 3 class have been reading the play The Crucible in class. To finish the unit, they are recreating and recording scenes from the play.

Our Anatomy class had a special guest today: Eden Briley, from UNCW's College of Health and Human Services stopped by to teach us about health science majors at UNCW, future careers, and a summer camp that students can participate in. If students are interested in the free 2 week camp, they can check out the flyers around school or on our Wolf Lounge google classroom. Thank you, Eden, for spending time with us today!
