Our PTA will be holding a car wash fundraiser at Caliber Car Wash (38 Dan Owen Dr, Hampstead, NC 28443) from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Please come and support our students. We would love some helping hands!

Welcome back! The fall semester at Cape Fear Community College kicks off on Monday, August 17th, for both online and in-person classes! PECHS will have a teacher workday on August 18th, so there will be no high school classes that day. However, CFCC courses will still be meeting, and students should reach out as soon as possible if they need transportation to attend these classes!
🚌 Need school bus transportation on day one?
All students who need bus transportation for the first day of school must be registered by August 10.
Requests submitted after the deadline cannot be guaranteed service during the first 10 school days. Register by August 10 to help ensure your student has transportation available when school begins.

As we prepare for the 2026–27 school year, families are asked to complete their student’s Beginning of Year Information Update. This update is not required for newly enrolled students.
Keeping contact and emergency information current helps ensure a safe, smooth and successful start from day one.

This federally funded college-prep program serves eligible students at Pender Early College, Pender High, and Heide Trask High School through tutoring, mentoring, college visits, academic enrichment, and a six-week summer experience at Cape Fear Community College — all at ZERO cost to families.
Students are already making the most of the opportunity! Rising Pender Early College seniors Sal Madison and Maritza Mendoza were selected for the National Student Leadership Congress, where only 100 students from across the country were accepted. Maritza’s group even won the Mock Congress debate! 🙌
“TRIO has given me a lot of opportunities that I would’ve never thought I would’ve had,” Maritza said.

During this time, students and parents may:
Pick up schedules
Meet with instructors
Receive textbooks and school supply lists
Get bus transportation information
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Orientation for All New Students and Parents
5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Parents will attend an information session while students participate in group activities.
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Students will follow their class schedule in 15-minute rotations to visit classrooms and meet their teachers.
First day of High School Classes is Tuesday, August 4th!

PECHS teacher Ryan Bogenschutz (Mr Bogie) celebrated the Carolina Hurricanes Stanley Cup by hanging his last flag. Throughout the playoffs Mr Bogie has been hanging flags (16) in his classroom for each playoff win even coming in during the summer to not break superstition @canes
