
Author Dustin Brady read to Ms. Gibson's 3rd grade class last Friday as part of World Read Aloud Day.



Last Thursday, Author Jenna Grodzicki read her book "I See Sea Food" to Ms. Lasalandra's 5th grade class as part of World Read Aloud Day.



Attraction book fundraiser starts today! Each student will bring one home for preview. There are lots of great coupons in the book! The fundraiser will end on Monday, Feb 13. (Books not sold will need to be returned on the 13th).


Author Ana Siqueira joined Mrs. Wilson's class on World Read Aloud Day through Google Meet. She read us her book, "Bella's Recipe for Success" and encouraged the students to always keep trying. She was an engaging speaker communicating in English & Spanish with the students and she got everyone involved in her presentation.



Children's author Erik Jon Slangerup read the 1st and 8th chapters of his book, "Molly and the Machine," to Miss Harris's class today in honor of World Read Aloud Day. World Read Aloud Day is February 1, 2023.

Our K-5 students are continuing to take our Mid Year state reading assessments.
This Tuesday our 3-5 students will be completing their NC Math Check Ins.
This Wednesday we will have a School Improvement Team meeting at 3:15.
Thursday our 3-5 students will complete their Reading NC Check Ins.
Next week PTO will begin selling their Val-A-Grams. Interim reports will also go home Monday, Feb 6th.

In honor of Martin Luther King, we will have no school on Monday. Enjoy your long weekend.
Our K-5 students will begin participating in our Mid Year state reading assessments on Tuesday.
We are hosting our first ever “A Day in the Life of an Eagle” Series. If you have RSVP’d, K and 1st grade will be Wednesday, 2nd and 3rd Thursday and 4th and 5th Friday. We can’t wait to show you all of the things we have going on at Malpass and Pender County Schools.
Students that ride bus 212 will continue the same routine for another week.
This Friday is a popcorn Friday. Popcorn is a $1.00.
