This week, as part of Read Across America week, 3-5 students will be "Reading Buddies" with K-2 students.

A big thanks to the 18 different businesses that helped make the 2nd annual Malpass Corner Elementary Career Fair a big day! Many started off in Pender County Schools and have first-hand knowledge of the pathway to a good career. #THANKYOU #PCSPride








We ended the day with Sharky from the Wilmington Sharks baseball team. We are excited about "Reading Around the Bases!"

Continuing World Read Aloud Day (Feb 1), Author Daniel Jude Miller read virtually to students in McEntee, Carroll, Stewart, Simpson, Midgette, Blessing, Deal, and Mrs. Ursula's classes yesterday.





What a week celebrating 100 Days of School! Thursday and Friday were our highest numbers of students dressed up! It was too many to post! Thank you Eagle families for helping your student(s) dress up and celebrate 100 Days of Learning!


It warms our hearts to see so many Pk-5 students dressed like a teacher! Tomorrow, "We are 100 Days Brighter" so students need to wear school colors: PreK-K blue, 1st-2nd yellow, and 3rd-5th white.

Mrs. King-Jacobs delivered Valentine Goodies to the bus drivers this morning as part of Bus Driver Appreciation Week. Ms. Murphy was the first recipient. We love our bus drivers!





Students from Pre-K to 5th grade celebrated the 100th day of school by dressing as 100 years older. Tomorrow, students need to wear 100 items on a shirt in honor of "100 Days and Counting."





Our Eagles of the Week announced today for Soaring behavior last week.

Monday, Feb 13th, is the 100th day of school. "We're 100 Days Smarter!!" Celebrate will us all this week as we dress up each day this week.


Author Dustin Brady read to Ms. Gibson's 3rd grade class last Friday as part of World Read Aloud Day.



Last Thursday, Author Jenna Grodzicki read her book "I See Sea Food" to Ms. Lasalandra's 5th grade class as part of World Read Aloud Day.



Attraction book fundraiser starts today! Each student will bring one home for preview. There are lots of great coupons in the book! The fundraiser will end on Monday, Feb 13. (Books not sold will need to be returned on the 13th).
