What a perfect match with the story of The Lorax ... Mrs Womble’s class has been learning about how people help and hurt the environment. We learned that we can help by safely picking up litter and putting it into trash cans. We took a walk around the school and collected any trash we saw.

Lots of Lorax sightings in the "Swomee Swan" nest today! Tomorrow is Read Across America Day so wear animal ears and animal prints for all the wonderful animals in our books. Fiction or non fiction, animals make the best characters!!

BETA Induction will be this Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 5:30 in the Multipurpose Gym for our BETA students and families. Families may start arriving at 5:15. This will be an induction only ceremony so that you can go celebrate with your BETA student!

Here is the Eagle's Nest attendance scoreboard for last week. This week we are celebrating "Read Across America" with special dress up each day. Today was dress like a farmer for "Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?" Tomorrow, is "The Lorax" so wear yellow or orange.

The Eagles Nest is a place of learning and where life long friendships are made. This week's Eagles of the Week were chosen for friendships and the ability to create & maintain positive relationships/boundaries.

Mrs. Simpson's & Mrs. Dunlap's Kindergarten classes also played the Little Pigs and Big Bad Wolf extension activity to celebrate the end of a Wit & Wisdom module! Mrs. Simpson and Mrs. Dunlap both reported all houses were still standing after the Big Bad Wolf visited! #FutureArchitects

More Stewart pics of the Big Bad Wolf not blowing the K houses down!

Kindergarten played an extension activity to celebrate the end of a Wit & Wisdom module! The STEM activity coincided with The Three Little Pigs so the objective was for the K Eagles to build strong houses out of gum drops and tooth picks and the Big Bad Wolf (Ms. Stewart with a hair dryer) would not be able to blow it down! Mrs. Stewart reported all the houses stood strong!

Parents - our lost and found is overflowing! Please come look through lost and found. There are some NICE pieces we are sure you would like your student to keep. :)

These Eagles were caught SOARING in the Eagle's Nest last week! They create & maintain positive school friendships! Keep SOARing! Also, our attendance leader board for last week! Eagles SOAR at school!
