Student Spotlight: Abbigail! 🌟
Meet Abbigail, a 5th grader at Malpass Corner Elementary, who was nominated by Crystal Havens for her kindness, leadership, and empathy.
Abbigail has a heart of gold and sees the best in others. When discussing a challenging situation with a classmate, she shared a powerful perspective: “We all don’t have the best home life… but we still have to respect them. It’s not their fault they are the way they are.”💜
She continues to lead with kindness and understanding, welcoming all her peers with open arms, no matter what they may be going through. Despite facing personal challenges, she always comes to school with a big smile and an even bigger heart.

Last year ... month ... hehehe ... students in Mrs. Boerigter's class were learning about dictionaries! These were a staple last millennium and with the internet and Google, have almost become obsolete. 😁

Students have had a lot of hands-on experiences with math and science and art this week! Matter changing state from liquid to solid (5th grade science curriculum). Designing a snowman. (No one talks about the hard work of building a snowman - students all learned that snow does not roll like it does in the cartoons!). Standard and non-standard measurement. The number of today is ... 2! Snow Day #2! Two snowmen. Two sledders. Two snow angels. And when you add two plus two ... you get ... 2 Eagles each holding a chicken! All in the fun of the snow that fell over 2 days! #PCSsnowday
Put your nose in a (book)... window ... or even snow. Put your back into it ... and get the job done creating those snow angels.
