We would like to thank the Hampstead Women's Club for their never-ending support and generous donation towards the creation of the Central American Rainforest and Cocoa Tree exhibit featured in the main lobby of our school for Hispanic Heritage Celebration Week.
We would also like to thank UNCW's Theater professors: Mr. Max, Ms. Jenna and Ms. Delaney for creating our beautiful rainforest. Discover how cocoa originated in Central and South America before becoming the beloved chocolate candy we enjoy around the world!

Ms. Watkins' Child Development students enjoyed their recent field trip to the Zing Zumm Children's Museum! Through interactive exhibits, students made connections to course content and even special observances like national pizza month AND Fire Prevention Month!🔥🍕🧩🛒

Students in Ms. Seri's classes visited UNCW to paint and paper mache cacao (cocoa) trees for this week's Hispanic Heritage Celebration art exhibit, to be featured in the main lobby of our school. We are so grateful to UNCW Theater/Lighting professors: Mr. Max, Ms. Delaney, and Ms. Jenna for their creative imaginations and superior artistic talents! They created trees out of PVC; the cocoa fruit is made of toy footballs!
