
📢 Schools Open on Normal Schedule Wednesday, September 18! 📚
We’re happy to inform you that all Pender County Schools will resume regular operations on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Thank you for your patience and understanding.


In need of a little sunshine? On 10/5 from 8am to 2pm, students will have another opportunity to paint parking spaces. Painting passes are $50. On 10/12, students can also dance the night away at our homecoming dance. Thanks to the Titan Leadership Committee for organizing fun opportunities to brighten our rainy days!



Due to the current weather conditions, Pender County Schools is moving to an early release schedule. Additionally, all after-school activities have been canceled.

Bus 293 will be picked up by bus 252 tomorrow morning, Wednesday September 11. Bus 252 will be picking up bus 293 students approximately 45 minutes late.

Part of living the Titan DREAM is arriving to class on time. Students who arrive to class late must check in at one of the upstairs/downstairs tardy tables. Students who are tardy due to a late school bus arrival will receive a different pass.

All students will take districtwide and state-mandated tests this school year as reflected on the test calendar, which can be found on the district's website under Testing and Accountability.


What better way to celebrate the 2024-2025 school year than by painting your parking space!? Submit your application by 3:35pm on Wednesday 8/28, so it can be reviewed. Designs must be approved before painting. Students will paint spaces with teacher supervision on 8/31 and 9/1.


📚🍟 Fries for School Supplies is Back! 🍟📚
We are excited to announce that for the second year in a row, our local McDonald’s owner-operators are hosting the Fries for School Supplies fundraiser in our school district!
Last year, over $110,000 was raised for our area schools, and we’re aiming to do even more this year! 🎉
From August 26th to 30th, McDonald’s will donate 10% of sales from all a la carte Fries to help support our schools. It’s a delicious way to contribute to our community! 🙌


🏈 Friday Night Lights Are Back! 🏈
We're excited to kick off the high school football season tonight with all three of our varsity teams—Heide Trask, Pender, and Topsail—playing at home! 🎉 Come out and support our student-athletes as they give it their all on the field!
Reminder: New this year, metal detectors will be in place at all high school football and basketball games to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!

✂️ Back-to-School Haircuts! ✂️
Cape Fear Community College is offering free haircuts this Saturday, August 24, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Barber School located at 108 Walnut St.
No appointments needed—just walk in! All haircuts will be supervised by a licensed instructor and are first-come, first-served. Remember, students under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Get ready for the new school year with a fresh look!


To accommodate our athletic students who have games and to provide flexibility for those who need to visit earlier, our open house will be held tomorrow from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Parents and students are requested to enter through the main gym to collect their schedules. Please park in the student parking lot for convenience.

Make your mark at HTHS...literally! HTHS students now have the opportunity to paint their own parking space! Students will be able to pick up information packets from August 22- August 28. Space painting will take place during the days of 8/31-9/1.
